ANSWERS YOU CAN ACT ON

How requirements are verified →
Are passport photo requirements different for children?

They can be. Some authorities publish age-specific requirements or exceptions. Use Requirement Match with the child’s age when an age-specific record exists.

Can I take a baby passport photo at home?

Yes, a parent or caregiver can often create the source portrait at home, but the final image still has to meet the authority’s child-specific rules. Keep the baby safely supported and follow the issuing authority’s pose and background guidance.

Should I use the adult passport-photo rules for a baby?

Not automatically. FastIDPhoto treats age-specific records separately when the verified catalog contains them. If a special child rule is not published, use the issuing authority’s instructions for the child’s application.
